It’s February, and I am beginning to get excited……..next week looks warmer……with temperatures of 11 or more ! Is this the end of cycling in 5 degrees or lower…..unlikely, but winter is beginning to turn the corner, and spring will soon be upon us…..with bib shorts to come….
BUT, mainly I’m excited, because that means the tour season is not far away……The first tour is now in sight. Lands End to John O’Groats at the end of May. That’s what makes it exciting…that soon, we’ll be back tramping up and down various countries, day after day of cycling, with groups of excited cyclists, all loving their experience, with beer flowing and stories being told each evening….
IT IS SUCH FUN…..I CAN’T WAIT !!!!
Amazingly almost all the tours are full, just spaces left on the Italian coast to coast tour, and the Irish End to End Tour.
So if you haven’t booked all your holiday up yet, why not Ireland or Italy. Ireland is my favourite tour. The hospitality is second to none. The cycling is superb and not to arduous. The Guinness is superb. Everyone thinks it rains all the time in Ireland…….but we had better weather in Ireland in 2016 than we did in Portugal ! Cycle from the most southern point of Ireland to the most northern, experience such vibrant towns as Galway, Limerick and Castlebar. Experience the awesome hospitality of the Irish!
OR, cycle through the beautiful Tuscany. Gorgeous countryside, fantastic sunshine, the most amazing towns and villages, steeped in history. Its the most beautiful tour. Great cycling, great scenery and a great country. Cycle from one side of Italy to the other.
So just these two tours left this year……next year so many more good tours to look forward to…..with the new one being Slovenia ! WATCH THIS SPACE.
