The Final two tours of the season were two back to back Portugal Tours.
Cycling from the Northern Portuguese town of Chaves, on the Spanish Border, all the way down to Lagos on the Algarve. 550 miles, and over 42,000 ft of climbing.
The weather was FANTASTIC. The food was DELICIOUS. The roads were EXCELLENT and QUIET. Two brilliant, brilliant tours.
The north of Portugal is just incredibly beautiful. Its like going back in time. We stayed in an ancient Fort, old monasteries, mountain villages, modern spa’s and Manor houses. The cycling is awesome, with both great climbs, and superb downhills.
Not a tour for the faint hearted, but definitely not one to miss if you’re up for the challenge.
