Day 12
We left Conon Bridge after a hearty breakfast with Julie and Eddie being the lead team and the rest of the group leaving shortly after. The first 27 miles to the first pit stop were quite hilly as we started our journey to Tongue at the very north of Scotland.
Following the first pit stop we entered what can only be described as a unique landscape a mixture of stunning scenery and barren wilderness found nowhere else in the UK, it has to be seen to be believed.
A second pitstop alongside the famous Crask Inn was very welcome.
Having started cold, the day gradually got warmer and dryer. A very welcome relief.
We arrived in Tongue in good time to relax, eat and drink prior to our final push to John O Groats – here’s hoping for a following wind for our final LEJOG 2015 day.
