Andalucia is a region of contrasts: ancient cities and deserts, amazing beaches along the Costa del Sol and Costa de la Luz and the Sierra Nevada mountain range where the highest mountain in Spain is found. It is located at the south of the Iberian Peninsula and is the southernmost point of Europe.
Andalusia is one of the warmest regions anywhere in Europe. It has a warm, Mediterranean climate with dry, hot summers and mild winters with infrequent precipitation, and LONG hours of sunshine.

We will spend two nights in this hotel, with day two being a circular ride through these mountains. Rides of approximately 70 and 35 miles will be available, but you also have the option of spending day 2 in Ronda sightseeing, if you prefer.
Then day 3 sees us cycling onto Antequera. Again, we spend two nights there, with again on day 4, the option of a 70 or 35 mile circular ride, OR sightseeing in the historic town itself.
And finally on to Grenada. Once again, we’ll spend two nights there, with day 6 being a circular ride from Grenada, flirting with the magnificent Sierra Nevada. 75 miles, 35 miles or sightseeing in Grenada…….take your choice.
Staying in our typical unique style of accommodation, including renovated Monasteries and historic buildings, this will be a wonderful week of cycling, and a real boost to your fitness level at the beginning of the cycling season.
WE TRANSPORT YOUR BIKE IN A CUSTOMISED VAN SPECIALLY TRANSFORMED TO SAFELY CARRY YOUR PRIZED POSSESSION !
We recommend a road bike with 25 to 28 mm tyres. Mountain bikes are NOT suitable. The most important thing is that the bike functions properly and that you are comfortable riding it. You should make sure that your bike has suitable gears as there are some steep hills on parts of the route. You should also make sure that you are able to carry some spare food and extra clothing with you on the bike.
We believe your tour experience will be enhanced if you are able to ride a bike you are comfortable and familiar with and, with that in mind, we will transport your bike to and from the start/finish of a tour.
Our support vehicles are adapted to carry bikes in a safe and secure manner which gives you the peace of mind that you will be ready to get cycling on day one without any major rebuilding of bikes required. Your bike can be collected and delivered back to your door for £30 each way.
If you would prefer, we can arrange bike hire.
You will require a passport to visit Spain
You are also required to have travel insurance for the duration of the holiday.
The weather in Spain is normally exactly what you expect. Warm and sunny!
