ALL MEALS INCLUDED !
A new and unique cycling tour, discovering the Bordeaux region in South West France, with the added adventure of nights spent on the MS Bordeaux river cruiser, which will transport you each evening, along the Gironne and Dordogne rivers, to your next days cycling.
A six day cycling tour of this famous wine region, for all levels of road cyclists. Each day is a circular route, with choices of distances from 15 to 50 miles, so suitable for everyone. GPX files for all routes supplied. Electric bikes available for hire on board, but we can transport your own bike, as on all other tours, in our specially converted van (bike transport is an optional extra at £40 each way).
The price is based on twin lower deck cabins. All cabins are ensuite, (with single and upper deck cabins available at extra cost), full board (buffet breakfast, three course evening meal and lunchtime picnic). The MS Bordeaux is stationary during the day, as we cycle, then sails along the river in the evening as we enjoy our evening meal on board, so that we cycle in a different area every day.
We sail from Libourne to Castets through the week, and each day, you’ll have the opportunity to cycle through vineyards, picturesque French villages and towns, past chateaus and wineries, with optional wine tasting available at some. The cycling is pleasantly undulating, through lovely quiet, French countryside, with lots of opportunity to stop and admire the views, with frequent cafe stops available. One of the middle days is spent in the city of Bordeaux itself, when you can either continue cycling, or spend the day sightseeing on foot, or a combination of the two.
Come and savour this French experience, and enjoy the occasional glass of fine wine.

We recommend a road bike with 25 to 32 mm tyres. Mountain bikes are NOT suitable. The most important thing is that the bike functions properly and that you are comfortable riding it. You should make sure that your bike has suitable gears as there are some steep hills on parts of the route. You should also make sure that you are able to carry some spare food and extra clothing with you on the bike.
We believe your tour experience will be enhanced if you are able to ride a bike you are comfortable and familiar with and, with that in mind, we will transport your bike to and from the start/finish of a tour.
Our vans are adapted to carry bikes in a safe and secure manner which gives you the peace of mind that you will be ready to get cycling on day one without any rebuilding of bikes required.
Bikes can be collected and delivered back to your home though, for an extra £40 each way, if based in England or Wales. If Scotland, £50 each way.
You will require a passport to visit France
You are also required to have travel insurance for the duration of the holiday.
